Along time over due post.Fishing last fall was the best it could ever be,it was the best I have ever seen it with coho salmon and a few chinook salmon being caught all the way through Oct down in Astoria. Epic was the word for it. Tillamook Bay was frustrating at times especially early on with all the coho salmon since you couldnt keep any unless it was a Friday or Saturday and the grass,by mid Oct the chinook salmon showed up and it was quite decent.
This winter I am running catch and release sturgeon trips and will start bottom fishing trips out of Depoe Bay when weather permits.
2015 predictions are out and it Looks like it will be another repeat of 2014. BOOK NOW for Astoria Bouy 10 fishery for best dates 503-720-2772. I will start Spring chinook salmon season around the middle of March and go through May,starting off on the Columbia River where 230,000 spring chinook are predicted to return and then move on over to the Willamette River in mid April. I am expecting good things this season and Hope to get you out.
